UBD II Mapping the Curriculum

This is an intensive online course employing Understanding By Design to galvanize curriculum maps and course syllabus into thinking maps that refocus our teaching on big ideas and essential questions that are embedded in our standards. Teachers wishing to enroll in this course need to have completed Understanding By Design I or have taken a course in Understanding By Design in their undergraduate work, graduate work or in another school district. Understanding By Design will be used on a macro level to design better syllabus and better quarterly, midterm and final assessments that assess students understanding of big ideas and essential questions in the curriculum.
