This is a hybrid course that is broken into three sections of fifteen learning hours. Each session will begin with a four hour face to face class on Saturday followed by ten hours of online work and collaboration. The first part is on backward design planning philosophy, the second sessions will be employing the backward design format and aligning assessment to big ideas and essential questions and the final session will be translating the standards and extrapolating the big ideas, planning learning activities under the umbrella of big ideas, editing, criticing and peer reviewing our work.
